“EZGULIK” SOCIETY ACTIVIST
TURSUNBEK TURAZODE HAS BEEN ARRESTED!
The activist of Tashkent regional department of human rights society “Ezgulik”, journalist Tursunbek Turazode (Tursunkul Ostonkulov) has been arrested by policemen of Home Affairs of Syrdarya region, Syrdarya district. Accordingly to preliminary information, the journalist is charged in swindle. On Monday, on 7thof February, when he was arrested, policemen made careful preparation on his arresting operation. Syrdarya regional TV radio company’s representativesr ecorded the arresting process on video camera. It is planned to show this video of operative recording on regional TV channels to find people that suffered from actions of this person, who blamed in swindle.
Inlastyearon 27thofAugustinrelease #25 “Ezgulik” society informed that journalist Tursunbek Turazode, thanks to his vigilance, escaped the arrest. It was said also that this operation was organized under leadership of worker of Home Affairs struggle against terrorism and organized crime department of Syrdarya region, Khalimov Khusan with help of Alimov Abubakr and Egamberdieva Nasiba, who lives in Dashtobod town, Dzhizak region.
But after half a year later task force of Home Affairs struggle against terrorism department of Syrdarya region organized such an operation again. “Ezgulik” Society does not have any information about “suffered” people, who helped to arrest the rights protector and journalist yet. There is no other data but tomorrow during the investigation and inquiry the journalist will be got with restraint.
Tursunbek Turazode (Tursunkul Ostonkulov) was born in 1965 in Dzhizak region, studied the Tashkent State Art University. In2001 – 2003 yearshe was working as a correspondent in Uzbekistan bureau of “Svoboda”(“Freedom”) radio station, in 2003 – 2004 as a special correspondent of “Khurriat” newspaper. In 2004 – 2006 years he is the activistof “Ezgulik” human rights society of Uzbekistan in Syrdarya regional department, in 2006 – 2010 years – the chairman of Syrdarya regional department of International human rights committee. Within last months he made his activity in Tashkent regional department of “Ezgulik” human rights society of Uzbekistan. There are different contradictory opinions regarding his journalistic and rights protector’s activity. Despite this, “Ezgulik” society acting to organize protection for TursunbekTurazode, there are appeals prepared to several law machinery structures.
