Uzbekistan: Four human rights activists organized the protest at Central square of Tashkent
Tashkent. – In the morning of December 6 four human rights advocates organized one of very rare demonstrations at the Mustakillik square, near so-called “Globe of Uzbekistan”. Unsanctioned political action was organized by Abdullo Tadjiboy-ugli, Vladimir Khusainov, Victoria Bazhenova and Dmitry Tikhonov.
First three protesters held the protest, saying “President must resign!” and “We demand new elections”. Dmitry Tikhonov demanded to provide him with exit visa since the authorities, not providing any explanation, were denying him in exit visa.
The end of the action was traditional: all protesters were arrested and taken to Yunus-Abad internal affairs department in Tashkent.
